The
Optimists Cricket Club is proud to continue its support for the Think Pink Lux
Cancer Charity and the event date is soon approaching. Saturday August 25th
will be the annual ‘Cricket in Pink’ event which is always a fun day amongst
club members and friends to raise money for this important local Charity. Meeting
time will be 12.30 with the match starting at 1pm.
The format
will replicate the successful process from before with mixed teams and special
rules to ensure everybody is involved in the pink action. There are two forms
of participation available – as a ‘Player in Pink’ or as a Spectator only.
Just like last year, Players in Pink will be asked to contribute a match fee of
EUR 30 which covers participation, a very special Pink Polo Shirt and all food
and we are seeking up to 24 players to sign up. Spectators will be asked to
contribute EUR 20 which covers all food.
