Match report Match 2: WOCC vs Lux Knight (Qualifier 2)

WOCC won the toss and elected to bowl. A change of plan was implemented where the Afghan express Mumend brothers were asked to open the bowling. Hashmat and Milad bowled with sheer pace and accuracy which did not allow Lux Knight’s top order to score easily and they were reduced to 19/2. Sareer joined the party to further bring them down to 33/3 taking the key wicket of the danger man Ashwin after he was hit for a six. Nitish trying to consolidate played a handy knock of 21 of 12 however our Hitman Mohit did not allow the knights to ever come back in the game as he swept away the middle order by taking 4 wickets for 13 runs of his 2 overs. The skipper gave the ball to Aman who took his first wicket as Sareer took a sharp catch to help him. Ed also took a wicket and Knights finished the innings at 76/9.

The run chase from WOCC was quick but a perfect template of how they want to play and get ready for the final. Will and Ben began the run chase as if they were chasing 150. Ben got out for a well made 20 of 8 balls (3 fours and 1 Six) after which Joosty joined the party. They chased the total in 4.2 overs with Will making 29 of 12 (2 fours and 3 Sixes) and Joosty making 19 of 10 (3 Sixes).
