The Optimists Cricket Club held their annual golf day yesterday at Clervaux Golf Club.
Although the weather was cold, we did have outbreaks of sunshine and on the whole it stayed dry.
Some notable mentions were Joost Mees making his first Eagle, Mark Fitzgerald playing his first round of golf and Wayne Codd and James Barker also both playing for the first time in many years.
After the golf, we all headed back to New Delhi in Gasperich for a curry and prize-giving which went as follows:
First Place: James Barker (48 points)
Second: Joost Mees (38 points)
Third: Tony Whiteman (35 points)
Longest Drive: Johan Terblanche
Nearest the Pin: Richard Neale
A great day and evening but back to cricket again now!
