Ike Siddiqi Memorial Match
RBCC Past v RBCC Present

We have been notified that there will be a memorial match for Ike this coming Saturday at the RBCC ground in Ohain, Brussels. Many of our members who played against him will remember Ike as a keen competitor but true sportsman. I for one, always enjoyed the challenge of batting against his slow left arm spin, not always successfully, I might add.
We hear that there will be some distinguished umpires from among RBCC's members to stand that day – so best behaviour.
Afterwards, RBCC intend to have either a BBQ (crates of Hoegaarden), or dinner in one of the local places.
So, if there are any Optimists past or present who remember Ike and are in the area on Saturday, I am sure your presence would be warmly welcomed.
