Junior Academy Week - Volunteers Required

14 Jul 2021

Tuesday to Saturday 20th to 24th July 2021

Having been unable to stage our fifteenth consecutive Academy week last August we are keen to revive this popular event again this year. Consequently the Luxembourg Cricket Federation (LCF) and the Optimists Cricket Club (OCC) would like to invite kids to come and enjoy our 2021 Junior Cricket Academy.

This five-day training plan is designed to give both our existing young cricketers and, if space is available, a limited number of non-members, the chance to continue to develop their skills while having fun with their friends. The event is open to all our members aged between 6 and 15 and groups are arranged based on experience as well as age.

The situation does not allow us to have a level-III coach from the UK this year but we have contracted the services of the Little Lions organisation to manage all the activities. Scott Browne and William Cope are already known to many of you. The sessions will be run by them, supported by our regular team of parent coaches, together, we hope, with some of our senior juniors as well as players from the various LCF teams. We will also be asking parents to support us for a (half) day by helping to run the games and simple drills, as well as with scoring and general supervision. We can assure you that this is an enjoyable experience, not a chore!

If you are able to help at all please sign up by clicking on the following link to the Doodle calendar:

If you are happy for us to allocate you a day or you can really only spare a half-day please make a comment on the Doodle calendar.

Thanks in advance for your support.
