As we approach the end of the year, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy Holiday Season and All the Best for 2025.
Thank you to all those members who helped contribute to another great year in the life of the Optimists Cricket Club. Volunteering and helping out is such a key part of the success of a Club like ours so w can't on everyone to do their bit next year and the years to come (especially with the Club's 50th anniversary just around the corner in 2026).
We hope you enjoy some time off now and get to spend some precious time with friends and family (especially those that are so understanding when it comes to our love for cricket and being understanding of the time we dedicate to it).
As a special treat for the end of the year, please find attached a wonderful piece, contributed by Bryan Rouse, on former OCC Captain (and three times BCF-winning Skipper) Euan MacDonald. This piece covers fascinating insights into Cricket in Scotland as well as some of Euan's favourite memories of his cricketing career both before and during his time with OCC.
