Optimists Cricket Club

On Saturday 19th April, the sun was shining and over 40 members descended on the Pierre Werner Cricket Ground to help Will Heath and his ground-staff with some chores around the ground in preparation for the first game of the season the following day.
With so many volunteers, much was accomplished and our sincere thanks go to all members who took time to come down and lend a hand.
Following the hardwork, Chess Ellingworth and some of the other Optimists Maidens lit (or switched on as it is now electric!) the BBQ and Timmy Andrews was quick to pour the beers from the new beer tap.  It was a great evening and a great way to start the season!
