OCC 367 all out (50) beat ICCB-1 217 all out (35) by 102 runs (D/L)

OCC 1st XI signed off the season in style, securing the BCF Division 2 Championship with a dominant 102-run D/L victory over International Cricket Club Brussels-1.

OCC won the toss and elected to bat first, setting the tone from the outset.

🚀 Explosive Start, Outstanding Middle

Amit Halbhavi provided a scintillating start, smashing 66 off 54 balls, including 50 of OCC’s first 66 runs, putting the ICCB bowlers immediately under pressure.

With Amit gone and Girish out, Vivek D walked in at 4 and produced a magnificent 122 off 97 balls, powering the innings and providing the platform for a huge total. Advyth M watched all from the other end and returned to form with an excellent 80 off 84, providing crucial stability through the middle overs.

The lower order then added valuable runs to push OCC beyond the 350 mark, eventually finishing on a formidable: 367 all out in 50 overs

🌧️ Rain Interrupts, but OCC Remain in Control

ICCB’s chase was briefly interrupted by rain, resulting in a revised target of 320 from 40 overs under the D/L method.

OCC’s bowlers quickly took control. Pankaj M finished with 3/27, while Raju A claimed 2/39, continuing his knack for picking up crucial top-order wickets. Vishwajeet D took 2/53, breaking the backbone of the middle order.

There was also an outstanding all-round contribution from Vivek, who added 2 catches, a direct-hit run-out and 1/10 from his 2 overs to his magnificent century.

ICCB struggled to build meaningful partnerships, with Sravan K, batting at No. 10, top-scoring with 51 off 57 balls.

The only resistance came late, when ICCB’s final pair produced an impressive 87-run last-wicket partnership. By then, however, OCC had already done the damage, and ICCB were eventually bowled out for:
217 in 35 overs
