Val Glover Cup ends in a tie

07 Aug 2011

On Sunday, two teams battled for victory and win the Val Glover Cup.

In a friendly yet competitive game Grahams Gladiators (skippered by Graham Cope) took on the might of Tims Trojans (skippered by Tim Andrews).

Both sides saw some good batting with both Tim Andrews and Aanand Pandey (in his final game before leaving for university in the USA) score half-centuries.

In the 35 over game, the Trojans batted first and were all out for 201 with one ball to spare and in reply the Gladiators scored 201-8 off thier 35 overs.

A fitting end to a great game of cricket.
