First Innings Summary (the only innings summary):
Winning the toss, OCC elected to bat first, looking to set a challenging target for their opponents.
The opening pair of Asgar Barkat and Ady Manepalli took to the crease with confidence. However, their partnership was short-lived as Zahedullah Safi struck early, dismissing Barkat for 5 runs. Manepalli followed suit, falling to Iftekhar Khankhel after contributing 8 runs to the scoreboard.
Shiv tried to stabilize the innings but unfortunately departed early. It was then left to Girish and Vikram to rebuild. Girish and Vikram displayed resilience and determination, crafting cruicial runs before both of them departed against the run of play. Vivek Dixit made well-constructed 30 runs, anchoring the middle order. Pankaj Malav made valuable contribution towards the end, to help push the team's total past a competitive mark. However, the innings came to a close at 203.
With a challenging total to defend, OCC was looking to their bowlers to come out firing in the second innings and secure victory.
However, rain gods had other plans and unfortunately, no further play was possible.
OCC look forward to their next game on the 19th of May!!!
